We celebrated our anniversary at this amazing restaurant in town. It's this little hidden gem with the most delicious food. The owner/chef is so eccentric and talented and just by giving him a bad vibe or if he decides he doesn't like you (for any reason at all) then he won't let you eat there! It's super intimidating but it also makes you feel special when he lets you make a reservation (which you have to make a month in advance but we got lucky and he fit us in at the very last moment!!). It's seriously the best and most food I've ever eaten!
The owner hates it when you're late or too early (I told you he's eccentric) so we took a selfie before heading inside :)
You need to block out 3 hours to eat here. This is Travis's look of anticipation.
Also, I forgot to mention that when you make a reservation you are the only people there. He only cooks for one party a day.
Another one of Travis because he's so handsome!
LOOK!! Not pictured is bread, butter and wine.
Here is dessert! Not pictured is the piping hot dark chocolate ganache. I almost died.
Travis's boss's family watched the boys for us and that was so awesome of them.
The next day I think I was still full. The boys and I just relaxed and built a tent :)
And here is today:
I finally finished my flower pillow. I'm not sure if I should keep it or give it away. Still pondering. (Check out my crochet Instagram: midwestmomvest)
Yikes. Team no sleep :(
Travis, I love you so much and all the sacrifices you make. You are my perfect mate and I'm so glad God chose us to be together. To eight more years! :)
