Monday Morning

Good morning. It's gonna be an extra coffee kind of day.

Walter has already been in trouble, fallen off a chair and Truman is being grumpy. Also my hair needs colored. I was hoping for that trendy ombré look but it's leaning more toward the trashy, dirty look. Which that may actually be trending. Ahead of the curve, you know? 

I need to clean and go to the store but I'm seriously so sleepy. I may have to stop by Starbucks for the really good stuff. 

Anyhow, good morning! I'll leave you with something slightly humorous.

Facebook Break

I've taken a break from Facebook and I'm seriously debating on deleting it for good. I was on it way too much. It was awful. I felt like an idiot because it took me like 3 hours after deciding to delete the app off my phone to actually do it! I kept going back and forth on the idea and saying how I need it then I thought, "This is ridiculous! If this stupid app is causing me this much distress, then it needs to be gone.". It was like quiting a nasty habit. It was hard and I'm still tempted to get on the computer "just to check to see if someone needed me". Pathetic. But it's done and I'm glad I did it. 

Walter is our daredevil.

Paul and Michelle came over Friday night to just hang out and do nothing. Which is my favorite. Walter loves to pet Paul LOL!

The Oscars are on tonight and I kind of want to watch them. I've never watched them before and I think it could be fun. Something interesting to half watch while I crochet my life away :) 

To Eight More Years

We celebrated our anniversary at this amazing restaurant in town. It's this little hidden gem with the most delicious food. The owner/chef is so eccentric and talented and just by giving him a bad vibe or if he decides he doesn't like you (for any reason at all) then he won't let you eat there! It's super intimidating but it also makes you feel special when he lets you make a reservation (which you have to make a month in advance but we got lucky and he fit us in at the very last moment!!). It's seriously the best and most food I've ever eaten!

The owner hates it when you're late or too early (I told you he's eccentric) so we took a selfie before heading inside :)

You need to block out 3 hours to eat here. This is Travis's look of anticipation.

Also, I forgot to mention that when you make a reservation you are the only people there. He only cooks for one party a day.

Travis's boss's family watched the boys for us and that was so awesome of them. 

The next day I think I was still full. The boys and I just relaxed and built a tent :)

Travis, I love you so much and all the sacrifices you make. You are my perfect mate and I'm so glad God chose us to be together. To eight more years! :)

The weekend was here and now it's gone. Why only 2 days for a weekend?? Dumb. 

Even though the weekend was short, it was still nice.

Walt head-butted (?) my head and left this nice bump on my lip.

Not sure how this happened but everyone left and I ended up hanging out with just my bros in law. Lol! I think theyvwere talking about nazis here.

WWE event last night.

Time outs are tough hah! 

And today there is cleaning, laundry and rewatching The Office for the 100th time. Tomorrow is our 8th anniversary!!

Small Group

We have a great small group! We meet every other Thursday, have dinner and spend time in the Word. It's been wonderful getting to know people and make new connections. The Lord is working in the group and I'm so thankful. 

Last night we had cheesy tortellini! We always look forward to our small group night! I pray that God continues to help us grow and learn together.

Walt could really use a hair cut but he just looks like a crazy little boy and I think it's cute... But seriously he needs a cut!

I really want to make this for the boys! I know they will love it! Maybe this weekend we'll be able to look into it.

Travis and I were just having this disscusion the other day! Haha!!

Tonight I'm meeting my friend Sarah for coffee and I'm excited to get out of the house by myself! 

I cut my hair!

I finally got a haircut. It was shorter than I was expecting but I still like it.

I got about 13 inches cut off! Yikes! 

That was the big thing this week (besides an embarrassing mini meltdown at church... From me!). Here's what else happened:

I bought a new septum ring from Amazon and here is the giant package it came in. Way too big!!

Our 8th wedding anniversary is Tuesday the 23rd and we were hoping to get out of town Monday night and come back Tuesday but once again, no one will watch our kids. Then we were just wanting to eat dinner Tuesday night and no one will watch our kids not even for a couple hours just so we can eat dinner. I feel like we won't be able to do much celebrating this year and it makes me really sad. 

I didn't want to end this post all bummed out but it just bothers me that no one is able to help us out.
