Yesterday vs Today: Lexi's Baby Shower

This past Saturday was my little sisters baby shower! It is so crazy to think that one of my younger sisters is having a baby! I thought we already had a huge family but it seems like it just keeps growing and growing.

The theme was sock monkey and that was just sooooo adorable! Lexi's mother-in-law put the shower together and did an amazing job. The decorations, the food and games were all a hit.

I always feel an obligation to bring my camera to any sort of big event. Not just because I want to have the photos to remember it but also because I used to be a wedding and event photographer and it's almost like an instinct to take photos. Plus I really like to be able to share the images with people who weren't able to go or take photos themselves.

You will noticed I took pics of a ton of details. That's another thing that is kind of instinctual. Whenever I would photograph weddings or events my job (besides assisting the other photographer) was to get ALL of the details photographed. Decorations, dresses, flowers, jewelry, food, tables....anything that would be some sort of detail, I would take a picture of it.
